Patrick Gabbert

Patrick is a minstrel and folk singer, performing the music of The People.

Blues and Americana are his primary format.  He sings and plays in the tradition of Woody Guthrie, Leadbelly, Utah Phillips, Bob Dylan, Pete Seeger, Steve Earle, Townes Van Zandt, John Prine, and Steve Goodman.

Every song has a personality that it is essential to preserve, honoring the songwriter’s intent.

He has enjoyed contributing to many bands over the years, as well as singing and playing solo and duets. Seasoned in bars, night clubs, coffee houses, dances, roadhouses, and folk festivals, he rejoices in jamming with other musicians to help bring out the best in all. Most recently a member of Rush Run Philharmonic,  he frequently teams up with other local musicians to form a temporary group for a particular event. An evening of Patrick’s music is an evening of stories: from train wrecks, and cowboy tales, to lovers and bank robbers, humor and satire.  You may find yourself dancing, or singing along…
