The Brew Skies Festival

Welcome to the Fourth Annual Brew Skies Festival

Brew Skies is more than just a music festival. It’s a unique, family-friendly celebration of West Virginia’s increasingly expanding craft beer movement, local artisan, craft & food vendors, and a wide range of musical performances – both local and nationally known acts. Presented by Mountain State Brewing Co., join us on two dates: August 21st & 22nd for Brew Skies Festival 2015.

The music starts at 5pm on Friday and ends at 12am. On Saturday performances are from 11am to 12am. We have a full lineup of local & national musicians and festivities throughout the day! Currently there will be nine West Virginia breweries in attendance. This year Brew Skies will be held at the beautiful Timberline Four Seasons Resort in Canaan Valley, WV.

Paul Barrère & Fred Tackett are talented guitarists with the legendary band Little Feat. They have joined forces to form a duet that perform songs from their Little Feat catalogue and more with a decidedly different twist. Read More | Website | Video

Integrating sounds from Leadbelly to Bob Dylan, from Woodie Guthrie to Preservation Hall, Woody Pines forages through the secret world of old 78ʹs belting out songs of fast cars, pretty women and hard luck with a distinctive vintage twang. Website | Video

With a style steeped in Appalachian musical tradition, Cumberland, MD’s Grand Ole’ Ditch aims to reimagine contemporary music with bluegrass stylizations. Official Site

The Plate Scrapers: Energetic string band out of Western Maryland performing their own intriguing and captivating originals as well as a tasteful selection of covers and bluegrass favorites. Official Site

Tyler Childers has heard a tale or two about the misadventures of a few good ol’ boys, and gives his own spin behind a whisky-soaked voice well beyond his age of 23. Official Site

Big Hoax is an up and coming alternative folk band that has seen nothing but continuous growth since their start as a guitar-cello duo in February 2013. Official Site

Ona is an indie-rock band from Huntington, and a small town in Cabell County, West Virginia; population 5 and 4000 respectively. Both are unincorporated. Official Site

The Soul Miners believe that good music played with emotion will always matter. Their energetic vintage soul performances have built them a loyal dance-floor following. Official Site

Mateo Monk is a gifted multi-instrumentalist, singer and songwriter, adept at many styles of world roots music, including bossa nova, reggae & hindustani raga. Official Site

Assembled in Tampa, Florida in 2005, Shane Meade & The Sound bring soul-infused, folk rock with a splash of jazz and mountain funk. Official Site

The Gravel Quire is a dynamic duet that weave together folk and pop music, showcasing creative and playful arrangements of old folk favorites in beautiful two part harmony.

Erika May – better known as EMay – has been called the ”Renaissance Queen of the Pittsburgh Scene”, winning a Pittsburgh Creativity Project award in 2009. Official Site

Hailing from Morgantown, WV come The Jason Good Blues Band with a combination of electric blues and blues-rock. As they profess, “blues you can use!”. Official Site

LocalMotive is a WV based rhythm & blues reggaebilly band replete with original tunes and classic ballads that span many genres. Official Site

Local legend Floyd Cowger brings a classic sound with timeless lyrics from a modern day singer songwriter. A touch of bluegrass and outlaw country blues.

Hailing from Elkins, WV, Neotronic is an eclectic three-piece jam band performing a mix of electronica, loops, reggae, latin, and jazz. Official Site

Skip Mason started pickin’ on an acoustic guitar at the age of 10. The Masons are foot-tappin’ Americana-folksy blues, with just a bit of traditional country and bluegrass. Official Site

Comprised of local Tucker County West Virginians Diana Villamor, Ruth Melnick & Ryan Gaujot, Douglas Falls are steeped in Appalachain style tunes that hit close to home.

From the hills of West Virginia, Aurora Celtic plays traditional music for fiddle, Irish flute, mandolin and tenor banjo, bridging cultures of Scotland, Ireland and Appalachia. Official Site

Mick Souter, West Virginia’s “Bard of Education,” will perform his one-man show that celebrates the culture, history and people of West Virginia.

Advance tickets are $55.00 for the weekend or $35.00 for a day pass for either Friday or Saturday. Tickets are $60.00 and $40.00 at the door. Free admission for 14yrs & under! The Brew Skies Festival is certified family friendly.


*Rules (just a few): Please to remember to drink responsibly. Bring a designated driver, or make reservations to stay within the resort grounds. No outside alcohol or coolers, and please leave your pets at home. Brew Skies festival is also a drug free environment.
