Kanawha Valley Friends Of Old Time Music And Dance (FOOTMAD) is a non-profit, volunteer organization whose mission is to promote traditional music and dance in Charleston, West Virginia and the Greater Kanawha Valley.
The Mountain Dance Trail project promotes coummunity square dances, shares the heritage of square dancing and perserves this unique art form. A statewide project of the Augusta Heritage Center of Davis and Elkins College, the Mountain Dance Trail celebrates West Virginia as the only Appalachian state which maintains a strong community dance tradition.
